Book City Discount Card?

I noticed an ad in today's Globe: Book City has a new discount card. 10% off paperbacks, and 10% hardcovers (in addition to their regular 10% discount), plus points. I bought a book last night at Book City on Danforth, and there was no sign or any other mention of this. You will probably have to ask for it.

Cheers,
Connie

Whitbread Book Awards - Shortlists announced

The short lists for the U.K. Whitbread Book Awards were released on November 10th. Thanks to the latest BookClubs.ca BookBuzz for the info!

bookclubs.ca | contest

The website bookclubs.ca is having a "win an author for your book club meeting" type contest. It involves filling out a survey about the book club. Are we interested in this; if I fill this survey in and win, do we want an author to visit us? Also, do others want to fill out the survey to increase our chances??

Let me know - connieblog@sympatico.ca

Thanks!
